Hi all. Even though I have Been interested in the occult and paranormal most of my life, it is only in the last couple of years that I have been on a couple of ghost walks.
The first one was two years ago during the Edinburgh fringe Festival. There were several running while I was there, so I just randomly chose one. Just before I had gone to the UK, a friend of mine here had shown me some photos he had taken at the Manly quarantine station ghost walk. He had several orbs in his photographs. As well as one that appeared to be some kind of ectoplasm. I have been taking photographs most of my life, and the orb's really piqued my attention.
Question. What is the general opinion of what orbs are? I have read various articles discounting them as merely dust or moisture reflections, or other kinds of technical aberration in the camera equipment. I can certainly see that as a possibility. However, having read the comments made by people here in this Forum, I would like to open it for discussion.
The very first photograph I took on my initial ghost walk in Edinburgh, saw an orb hovering near the guide. So that was pretty exciting. I captured a few more On that walk as well.I can submit it if anyone is interested in seeing it.
Last week, I went on the Manly quarantine Station ghost walk, with three of my friends.
Once again, I got a few orbs, some of which looked pretty atmospheric. But I did get one photograph, which has what I would call a very interesting anomaly. It shows what looks like to me, and several other people, a misty female figure looking out from the third class dining room not long after the group had left and the doors had been closed. To me the most interesting thing about this image, is that it is a very small part of a much larger image and that someone else actually spotted the figure. I've got to say, this one has me really intrigued for a number of reasons.
If someone can explain to me, how to submit an image to this forum, I'll pop it up.
