What are your opinions on using the KII meter for "ghost dialog"? I recently had a conversation with an investigator that said he had been investigating since the early 1970's. He said he uses several KII's and has had great results using it to ask questions that are answered. I use my emf meter for finding wiring (not a KII) mainly, so I never saw a reason to get a KII.

Our experiences with the K-II meter indicate the potential for false positives. It is quite easy to convince yourself that you are communicating with "the other side" when in fact you're only picking up stray RF or ambient magnetic pulse.
Recently we determined the average K-II meter is sensitive to RF up to 40 feet away (12 meters). We take K-II hits with a grain of salt.
Just my two cents

I think the practice of using any EMF meter as a communication tool would require more data from range of different sources to add credibility to any reported result.
There are just so many variables (especially coincidence) which would need to be examined. This is even more true of the K-II as it is very sensitive to a whole range of frequencies and extremely prone to "false positives".
One evening (approx 5 hours) we received only a single spike from a stationary K-II, seemingly in direct response to someone asking for a sign. All phones were removed from the area and switched off and no likely cause could be discovered.
Although it did seem very impressive, it could be argued that it was pure coincidence and there were many more instances over the evening when requests went unanswered. So it would be biased to ignore the times there were no results and assume a single one was evidence of paranormal activity.
Hence the problem with communication such as K-II "ghost dialog", Ouija boards etc... Most results can be looked at from a variety of logical angles. There are of course some amazing accounts of facts obtained using such methods, but as years goes by we are really no closer to any true answers regarding communication methods.

That's been my opinion too. From everything I've heard, it's extremely sensitive, leading to possible false positives.

It's also very easy to falsify a "conversation". I witnessed that many times with my former team. We also had one KII that was acting up one night - lights were staying on and rather than allowing the team to swap KII's with her - she kept right on going...
