I have been coming across a few groups that are now charging clients for investigations!
Many of the groups are bringing in mediums/psychics that are charging the client good money to investigate there homes.
Why should people pay for an investigation?
In some case's where we have to travel many hours and pay for accommodation and the cost's are very high we may ask for reimbursement for travel costs such as fuel, accommodation or airline tickets.
But this is only when we can not afford to cover the full costs of trying to help the client.
I believe that no one should have to pay for this kind of service and its just plain wrong to charge for it.
Try looking at it from this way.... you have a group you have contacted and asked to come to your home and do an investigation.
The medium comes in saying he/she feel's this and that and in some case's even tries to do a clearing and so forth.
Then says the home is now cleared from all negative spirits and puts his/her hand out for payment.
How can you be sure that the home is clear?
Are you going to just take his/her word for it? why handing over your hard earned cash?
What if the activity don't leave and you have already paid?
What if the activity don't leave and you have paid and now are being told that they have done all they can?
What if there was know true activity there in the first place?
You must think of these type of things when looking for someone to help you with possible paranormal activity in your home.
There are many people out to just make a quick $ and will take advantage of people.
I have found alot of people in these types of situations are very easily lead into believing any thing they are told.
You should look for not for profit groups that show some credibility on there websites.
You should also question any evidence shown to you from the group.
Many items used by paranormal investigators are still experimental and can have other things interfere with them giving false readings etc.
For example a KII meter, 99% of paranormal investigators use and test in many ways, but say you sit it down .. you ask for what ever is there to light up the lights and you get a spike, then you ask a few more questions and get nothing and trying more and you get another spike... many groups I have been seeing are more then ready to label them little spikes as paranormal ...but how can they label this as paranormal?
1 There is no true evidence there to support it.
2 Who is to say someone didn't walk past with a cell phone and it caused a spike?
Many homes are being labeled haunted with very little evidence to support it.
But yet they have there hands out for payment when showing this so called evidence.
My point being over all... be very careful when picking paranormal groups to investigate your homes, don't let these people take your hard earned money and walk away leaving you no better off for it then you was before they came there and less cash in your pocket for service that got you what?...
