Very intresting stuff. Love the idea of a haunted object, but I don't know if I'd actually want something that came with a ghost. I don't need any extra guests.

I'd have to say that this would be a pretty stupid practice to participate in, I was reading about a so called haunted object up for auction. This guy who shall remain nameless was advertising a ring which apparently had an Incubus bound to it, along with the ring he would also sell you the bounding spell so that the Incubus would be bound to you for ever and satisfy all your sexual desires!!!!............. and people actually buy this crap!,. Do they have any idea of the consequences of doing so?, I must admit I don't either but I certainly don't wish to find out!, being a Paranormal Investigator is one thing but playing around with Demonic Spirits is not for the faint hearted. Have a read of Ed and Lorraine Warrens book "The Demonologist" by Gerald Brittle, this book will tell you all about "Haunted Objects", so I'm with pjay I also don't want anything which comes with a Ghost, I like Investigations on My Terms and in relative safety, chances are it's just some tosser selling crap to gullable people but what if it isn't, what if evil can be incarnated into an object, Do you really want to find out?!.

I have the book 'The Demonologist' by Gerald Brittle, I bought it just before Christmas but have not had a chance to read it yet, but after that Jason might have to find the time soon, sounds pretty scary!!!

Ther reason I became active in the paranormal field was because my brother's house became haunted. Two things happened around the same time, a lady renting an appartment from him committed suicide, and he also bought a very old spinning wheel for my sister-in-law. After activity started I wondered if the spinning wheel had somethng attached to it, but they thought it was the lady who committed suicide. We didn't get anywhere near a difinitive answer, though.

Hi
Since posting the original thread, I have purchased an item that was supposedly haunted from this seller. The dowsing pendant I purchased hasn't displayed any paranormal activity to date but then again I haven't tried to use it in an investigative way. It was supposedly used by a well known American psychic to contact spirits. I willl bring it to the next investigation.

That site does have some interesting items on it.....tempting I have a few items from our original Edwardian family house that was haunted, luckily I have had no paranormal activity from these objects yet! I do however have the mirror wrapped up in the garage & will never operate the gramophone as the old records have always sounded spooky when I heard them as a child. The old clock sits on a shelf that I do not intend to wind up, maybe a little superstitious, but better to be safe than sorry. If these items caused any paranormal activity they would be taken out of the house(maybe put on Ebay), happy to investigate any haunted sites, but I do prefere home to free of activity.

I imagine the gramophone records sounded spooky even when they were new! You know, you might find they aren't as scarey as you remember, now that you're older.

Your right about the gramophone records, would have sounded spooky when new. Its funny, I have only made these rules for the objects that came from the family home. I have antique cylinder music boxes that I sometimes play & quite a few antique clocks that I have ticking/chiming away that would have been owned by people long ago who are now deceased.
The only personal experience with a haunted object was when I gave a friend a mirror that was from my sister's house, stored inside a wardrobe. A week after I gave her the mirror she told me there was a presence in the mirror for a couple of days. She told me that she went right up to the mirror & said " this is my house, it is a happy house, please leave me in peace". She has had no more problems with the mirror since, the mirror had belonged to an uncle who had passed on.
Has anyone else had an experience with a haunted item or have any theories/opinion on haunted items??

I,ve watched a lot of these things being sold over the years. eBay are strange. I once sold some perfectly genuine signed memorabilia and had it removed. They often seem to make up the rules as they go. Anyway, back to the point. I say don't mess with things that you don't understand to make an easy buck.
