The Bushranger Hotel, Collector NSW. About half an hours drive north of Canberra. It's one of the oldest pubs in the region, being built around the 1860's and it achieved notoriety in 1864 when a Trooper was shot dead by a Bushranger (think old west Outlaw). Another claim to fame for the Bushy is that it is one of those unsung paranormal hotspots. The building is literally brimming with activity resulting in over 140 years of tragedy that occurred within and outside the walls of the pub. One story that was relayed in a recent documentary on the site is the spirit of a former Publican that still haunts the bar area of the old pub. On occasions staff would find glasses and chairs stacked on the bar when opening in the morning and so on. A few months ago my partner and I conducted our own little investigation at the Bushranger Hotel - staying the night upstairs after exploring the Pub as much as possible during the evening. Now I know there is a bit of conjecture about the appearance of 'orbs' in photography but this image just has to be shared. The bar was dimly lit at the time of the photo and the same 'orb' appears again in other images I'll upload later. Closer inspection of the object makes it almost impossible to be considered a reflection of light, I'm always careful of my equipment and the camera lens was clean and the positioning of the object itself over a bar stool makes it too much of a co-incdence (?). Anyways, that's my thoughts. You be the judge. (Look at the lower right of the image).
