Port Arthur ghost tour is highly recommended. It has been over 10 years since we did the ghost tour, however the memory of walking around that eerie place at night is still quite vivid. My last visit to Port Arthur was a couple of years & only visited during the day due to lack of time. Although talking to one of the staff members who does the ghost tour, she said she could take people during the day & they would be just as scared.
Does anyone know if Port Arthur has been investigated by any paranormal teams & if so can evidence be viewed?

I dont know if Port Arthur has been investigated but I did do this ghost tour when I was little and I had 3 different experiences. My mother and the tour guide saw something and voices were heard many times. It would be a great place to investigate.

I did this tour on a school trip in year 10. Don't recall anything particularly remarkable, though it was amusing when the tour guides freaked themselves out...
One example being, we were in on of the old houses I think, and the guide was talking about flashing lights seen on the upper floors, when at that exact moment, theres flashing lights... Turns out it was just the 2nd group behind us taking pictures while waiting for us to finish up. Funny watching him nearly nuts himself though

On a regular tour of Port Arthur my Father believes he had his watch stolen by a spirit. He and my Mother had fallen behind the tour group to take in some of the scenery, when he felt someone grab his arm. He swung around to find no-one standing within 20 meters of him. Being a skeptic he shrugged it off and continued his tour. It was about 15 min later he realised his watch was missing. This is a watch that he had worn everyday for the last 20 years it had a metal band, the kind that he had to push over his hand to put it on and take it off. It's possible that it simply broke, but my Dad is convinced that he felt someone grab his arm and that is when the watch dissapeared. Perhaps some convict spirits still up to no good.
