When you find high emf fields where a person has reported seeing or hearing or feeling something, is that debunked for you? Do you consider high emf fields the reason for something going on in an area?

I would not consider it successfully debunked, but would list it as a possible contributor warranting further examination - for example removing the source and seeing if reported events continue could move it further towards the debunked level.

No I agree with Daren on this, there could be something else going on in such a case. Just because EMF is detected personally I cant rule out anything until further tests, but it is a strong knock toward anything paranormal. Although EMF can trigger paranoia, feelings of discomfort etc, that does not mean that anyone who sees a ghost say in hallway where there is a huge source of man made EMF is just succumbing to the effects of the radiation. It is entirely possible that the energy itself might be attracting or feeding an entity in such an area. In other words, further tests and followups are needed before we can call something actual or debunked.
A good example of this was the treadmil debunk we filmed at one of our investigations last year. The area gave the homeowner a creepy feeling of paranoia. When we tested the machine we found it raised the local EMF to over 3 times baseline. Further review of evidence, video and audio revealed nothing paranormal.

But do you recreate it using the person claiming to have the experience? What does the different teams do to debunk when there is the presence of EMF? It's easy to say, Oh, there's a high emf reading, that must be it. Just wondering how far people go when they debunk because of the presence of EMF. If finding a high field is enough for the teams to consider it debunked, or what, if any, other tests you do.

It all depends on the nature of the reading. If we get something that repeats in different locations it's far harder to explain and would deserve closer inspection, if not there is likely a way to explain it away.
