Here are a couple of submissions we received which are dramatically similar. The first came from Corey James from Perth Western Australia. The story Behind the photograph: No real story, my friend had just bought a new phone and was playing around with the camera, took a photo in the living room and at a second glance the girl was standing there looking at us.The next came from Shane Woods from Lowood Queensland Australia. The story Behind the photograph: This photograph was taken approx 1 week ago by a Mobile phone. The picture was taken in Brand new home in a small country town in Lowood QLD. The little girl in the picture was always talking to a imaginary friend most of the day. Her parents just laughed it off as normal kids stuff, However after this picture was taken on the grandfathers mobile phone they soon changed their minds. This photo even has me convinced that ghosts really do exist. To see the likeness of the two "ghosts" here's an animation overlaying 1 ghost on top of the other: Now this particular ghost is extremely popular and seems to appear on photos taken with Apple Iphones or others if loaded later into an app (also works with iPodTouch) which superimposes "ghosts" onto the original image, there are of course others to select from in the application. Affiliate Groups can read more about these mobile phone apps and help in identifying the resulting images in the affiliate section of the forum.

Images from other sources can be loaded into the app so it could originate from anywhere. As far as the ghosts - there's Victorian children, faceless torsos, Civil War soldiers, ghostly orbs, and more to select from.
Generally photographs originating from mobile phones are less reliable for a number of reasons, this is one.

Yep it's fake guys. As app developers continue to develop for other smart phones you can expect these images to pop up from other cell users.

It's a pitty, isn't it. Even a baby can fake a ghost photo these days.

Of course, with an app like that, if you are super subtle about adding it in, you can get some great pictures. What I've seen so far, tho, has been very fake looking.

There are numerous apps around which will do this so cataloging the various "ghosts" may be worthwhile. If you'd like to help keep track of these "ghosts" and have such an app on your phone we'd appreciate a picture of just the "ghost" on a plain background with no transparency. You can post images giving details of software used in the forum or at: ghostresearchinternational.com/Formpic/form.php
