Hi Bruce,
I can tell you where Gallows Flat was, it was in a padock opposite the present day St Mary's Hall just down the road a bit from the Old Geelong Gaol. There were 4 hangings there Bruce, which I have the details of who they were and details of their crimes, I have done quite a bit of research on Old Geelong Gaol as we have investigated there a number of times.
What is your research for Bruce?

That would be about right Bruce, St Mary's is on the same side as the Geelong Gaol and it would be roughly 200mts away.
The wooden Gallows on 'Gallows Flat' were painted bright yellow and when not in use were displayed in front of the gaol to deter people from committing crimes.
