Picture I took in Tarnagulla, Victoria

Hi all, don't know if I'm doing this the right way but thought I'd share this. Hope it works (I'm a rank amateur when it comes to posting on forums). The picture was taken on my phone camera when I took a road trip to Melbourne (I emailed this through a couple of days before I registered with your site). At the time I didn't notice anything odd about the picture, a friend of mine pointed it out to me actually. Happy to provide more info if you would like it!

Righto, thanks for the link, it's worked this time (thanks for that )

Firstly, I took the rest of the number plate out of the picture as I believe you aren't allowed to disclose info like that on the net (so I was told).

Secondly, a bit of background. I was on my way to see a friend at Kangaroo Flat in Victoria and stopped at Tarnagulla service station to refuel on 9th April 2010 (5:05pm). The number plate of the car in front of me amused me (being a South Australian) and I took a picture of it on my mobile for an inhouse joke I have going with some mates.

At the time I didn't check the picture. When I was telling my best friend last week what I intend on doing with the picture, she asked me if I'd noticed anything odd about it.

I have no explanation for this so I went looking for a site that might be able to help me. Any ideas?

Difficult to say Kate, it may be just pareidolia - what do you see in the pic? The vehicle does seem to have one of those standard towing hitches however the low res of the image is not showing a great deal of detail.

If you want me to have a closer look feel free to submit the original unaltered pic using the submission page. (I'll keep the rego details private).

I noticed a face.. it doesn't seem to be on the ground to me (ie part of water/fuel oil under the car in front).

I'm about to send the original through to the submissions page for you to have a better look at. Sorry about the picture quality, I took it on my phone (no flash on my camera either).

Hi Kate and welcome to the forum.
Was the picture taken by you in your car through the windsheild/window? If so was there any thing on the dash or in the car that may have reflected off the glass? Also was the glass dirty? I only say this as the image is quite streaky in the darker areas of the photo.

Hi Lisa, nice to meet you! Yes, the picture was taken through my windshield but there was nothing at all on my dash or hanging from my rear view mirror. There was misty rain at the time and a little road dirt on the window but not much as I'd had the wipers on just before I had pulled up so from memory they were pretty clear. The window may have had some residual mist on it from the rain though. Would that have the same effect?

Darren, I'm not sure why it's not through yet, I've sent it twice... will try changing the folder location and re-sending today.

Yep got it through on your last attempt via the website .... must have done something different. Also got the email afterwards. Got a few in the queue but will get to it!
